Will ABC Remake Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp?...please?

My brother posted this video to his Facebook profile and I think it is just about time to bring back America’s favorite chimp. Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp was a show from the early 70s’ that we used to watch in re-runs. I could never quite convince anyone outside of my family that a detective show shot completely with a chimp cast was real. Now through the magic of YouTube, you can experience the dementia that was my childhood.

I also found an episode here - do you think PETA would have a problem with the show these days?

Do you think we could create a Bring Back Lancelot Link petition?

You know you've made it when - Scott Brown and Martha Coakley on SNL (Funny Videos)

I’m not sure if I was a little sleep deprived or the fact that 2 SNL skits featured 2 Massachusetts folks but Saturday Night Live was actually funny this weekend. To set the scene properly, I was up with my 4 day old daughter (that’s right - 4 days) and decided to watch this weekend so there is a chance that I am overstating the funny power of this skit. The Scott Brown skit finally reminds of the classic political writers that are obviously not on the show anymore and are sorely missed.

The opening segment was a spoof of the State of the Union speech but featured an opening bit about Scott Brown opponent Martha Coakley. It was a bit harsh but funny just the same.

Enjoy!

"Fear the Boom and Bust" a Hayek vs. Keynes Rap Anthem...the Economists "Lazy Sunday"?

It seems like the stale economists are looking for a new way to reach out to a new audience?  This may just seem like an interesting way to demonstrate the contrast between 2 well know economic theories, however it is a glimpse into the new way that people will learn.  It shows that entertainment and humor can be powerful forces when you need to get your message accross and teach someone something.

Enjoy!

Pictures from Scott Brown Rally in North Andover Today

I was on the way to run an errand this afternoon and ran smack dab into a political rally for Scott Brown. I had no idea that it was going to happen today but it was a nice surprise. I had never seen a political rally before.

I shot the pics with my D40x using an SB-600 flash on some pictures. I learned a photography lesson here today as well…always be prepared! I like the photos here but, if you look closely, my auto-focus was set incorrectly. You really need to take a moment to reset or check your setting even if you are set to AUTO or P.

Were you there today - do you have any pics?

Is College Really Worth It? Infographic of the Day via Fast Company

With college tuition only 16 years away for me, I often wonder what I would say if either of my girls wanted to go for a frivolous major. I have had this discussion with neighbors who have children that went into trades instead of 4 year schools and are doing very well financially…and probably a lot happier not having to deal with the typical 9 to 5.
